How to Slow Down?

How to Slow Down?

We need to slow down to listen to our bodies, but how can we do this in the hustle and bustle of daily life?

So, how can we stop and enjoy life when we are surrounded by worries and everything in our lives is getting faster, simpler and consumed quickly?

We must have roadmaps to answer these two questions, but most importantly, these roadmaps must be realistic and applicable.

Because our surroundings are full of advice about what and how we should do it, how we should consume it, what time we should sleep, what time we should walk, and how we should behave.

We will not do that today.

Because we believe that every person is unique.

We can only give you a few general reminders, hoping that you can shape it according to yourself and chart your own path.

Because we believe that life has become unnecessarily fast, which greatly affects our holistic health.

Slowing down means simplifying.

(see: https://urtica.life/hayati-sadelestirmek/ )

Because being focused only on success, consumption and multitasking is not actually very suitable for our existence.

Believe me, we don't always have to be in a hurry.

So what can we do?

* We can really prioritize tasks and get one thing done at a time. Multitasking, while long praised, has fallen out of fashion.

As a way to do this, you can try the 1-3-5 tactic,

We can set 1 main task, 3 medium tasks, 5 small tasks each day, and start with the big task.

That way, if things don't get done, we don't have to torture ourselves. The rest will be our small jobs anyway.

We can also adapt this to our own, 2-2-2 or just 1-3, because why not?

Maybe in doing this we will realize that,

We may have so many goals and things we want to do, and as a result we become so distracted that we feel like we are not achieving any of our goals.

It may be helpful to set weekly, monthly and annual goals and not exceed 1-2.

*As a very important step in both simplifying and slowing down, we can not keep anything in our home, closet, kitchen, drawers that we do not use or do not have a good memory of.

(and maybe then, thinking about our world first, we will stop buying so much stuff we don't need?)

Because the clutter in our minds begins with the clutter around us, and as the clutter in both increases, we begin to accelerate in order to avoid and not look.

Donating our unused, in-good-condition items on a regular basis, without waiting for a special occasion, will not only make us feel incredibly good, but will also make us stop and look around.

And maybe then we can even apply it to the people around us.

When we are not ready for that yet, how about at least cleaning your phone?

*We saved the most important one for last;

Taking care of yourself, that is, self-care, is not a luxury, it is a necessity.

And like everything else it is made unnecessarily complicated.

Small and slow, but lasting self-care may not require long periods of time, deep silences, or complete stopping.

Although self-care is a very broad topic and we need to learn to improve,

Maybe we can start with two easy steps;

In the rush, chaos, and daily events of life that drag us from here to there, we can take a breath for a moment,

We can ask ourselves questions that will increase our awareness.

Who are we really?

What actually makes us happy?

If we wanted to change even the smallest thing, what would we change?

And we can consciously give ourselves hopeful answers to the answers we give to these questions.

We instill little hopes about ourselves and who we are .

Afterwards,

We can focus our attention on the things we consume.

What we consume isn't just what we put into our bodies.

We are getting very dirty, especially digitally.

Turning our awareness here can be a huge step towards slowing down and cleansing.

What are we watching?

Who do we follow on social media?

Maybe we shouldn't be so 'influenced'?

Who do we listen to in our business lives?

We distance ourselves from reality with negative talk, company gossip, constant complaining and listening,

Could we be polluting our minds unnecessarily?

So, can we do this at home too?

Can we take a breath and try to distance ourselves?

We can first cleanse our minds and then our bodies.

Our topic is how we can simplify and slow down the things we take into our bodies,

We saved how to cleanse our bodies in the most practical way for our next article.

If we end with a quote we love very much;

We go too fast, our souls are left behind.
